ON CHAMPION MOTOR GRADERS FOR COASTAL COUNTIES

Charlotte, NC - Gary Abernathy, President of Champion Motor Graders is pleased to announce the appointment of Altman Tractor & Equipment as the exclusive dealer for Champion Motor Graders for the coastal communities of South Carolina. The Altman territory includes counties east of I-95 to the Atlantic, bordering counties to the west of I-95 and bordering coastal counties in North Carolina.

“We are very excited to have proper representation in this region,” said Bryan Abernathy, Champion’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “In the 25 years that we have been in business, we have never been able to secure a dealer
east of Columbia and I know that there is a significant market opportunity in
this region.”

Operating a C80 Grader takes as much work as any full size grader. So Champion built its operator’s station full size.

Altman is no stranger to compact graders. Prior to New Holland discontinuing the RG 80s model, Altman Tractor sold the line. “I used to travel this territory extensively,” said Bryan Abernathy, “and there were a large number of compact graders working in the region placed there by Altman Tractor. We see this as a great opportunity to work with such a knowledgeable dealer.”

According to Altman, they felt that this was also a great opportunity for them. “When you add this to the rest of the New Holland line, it means that our customers will be able to find everything they need.”

“With our three locations - Florence, North Charleston and Conway, they will be able to get any parts and service that they may need. After all, this is a key to our ongoing business philosophy.”

Champion Motor Graders, the newest company in the construction equipment industry that can also look back on a long and successful history, has their head office and manufacturing facility in Charlotte, NC. At this plant, they manufacture five basic models of single axle, tandem and All Wheel Drive motor graders with operating weights ranging from 12,000 to 15,500 lbs.
